In October we all travelled down to Worcestershire, the home of Edward Elgar, a full weekend of music and enjoyment. First we went to Pershore Abbey where we gave a short recital. It was a brilliant start to our weekend away.
On the Saturday, after some free time in the morning to explore Worcester, we gave a lunchtime concert in the magnificent surroundings of Worcester Cathedral where we sang some of Elgar’s music.
On our way home the next day we stopped off at Hartlebury Castle Museum where we sang in the beautiful Great Hall with a ladies choir from Kidderminster.
We arrived back in Stockport early Sunday evening, having enjoyed a great weekend of music and socialising.
